Job summary

Shive-Hattery Inc. is seeking a motivated NEPA Specialist to join our Environmental and Permitting team. Lead NEPA planning, environmental compliance, and coordinating with agencies and staff on transportation-related projects.

You will write reports, guide fieldwork, and engage with clients, stakeholders, and contractors while building strong relationships with regulatory agencies. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of permitting experience required.

Qualifications

• NEPA planning for transportation projects and interfacing with lead and other agencies.
• Regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws.
• Collaborative work with engineers and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fieldwork and reporting for multiple project types, primarily transportation.
• Prepare NEPA documentation (CEs and EAs) and ensure timely reviews and guidance from agencies.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and engage with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
