Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) is seeking a senior leader to drive business development and regional growth in South Dakota. You will lead BD efforts in Sioux Falls, build client relationships, and guide project delivery with strong team leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in transportation engineering, a SD PE license or ability to obtain in 6 months, and a track record of winning work. Sign-on incentive offered; remote options may apply depending on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• PE license in South Dakota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years in transportation engineering, planning, or civil design.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development in Sioux Falls / South Dakota targeting SDDOT and local agencies.
• Develop regional BD strategy aligned with growth goals and backlog.
• Lead or support proposals, interviews, and marketing to win work.
• Provide day-to-day leadership in the Sioux Falls office and staff development.
• Serve as Project Manager on transportation projects with scope, schedule, budget, quality oversight.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure delivery.
