Job summary

NFI's Transportation Manager in Greenwood, IN leads dedicated fleet operations with full P&L responsibility, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction while identifying new business opportunities.

You will supervise supervisors, coordinators, drivers, and support staff; manage budgets, audits, safety, and regulatory compliance; and collaborate with leadership to optimize performance and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or operations management.
• Experience with TMW and AS400 preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of facilities and staff including supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Accountable for customer interaction and continuous improvement.
• Plans long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts and data.
• Oversees asset management, delivery/logistics, and regulatory compliance.
• Manages facility P&L and budget preparation; signs purchase orders and manages billing.
• Leads safety initiatives and ensures compliance with standards.
