Job summary

NFI is seeking a Transportation Manager II to oversee a large dedicated fleet across complex site operations. You will bear full P&L responsibility, drive efficiency, and coordinate with customers to exceed service expectations.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, planning labor needs, ensuring safety/compliance, and growing revenue with both dedicated and non-dedicated accounts. A strong leadership background and vendor coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 5+ years’ experience in supply chain
• Experience with TMW is preferred
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Knowledge of transportation/mechanical equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT/FDA regulations and willingness to become certified
• Strong talent management and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Willingness to travel ~25%
• Ability to work irregular hours including nights/weekends/holidays
• Ability to stand/walk up to 10-12 hours

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of facilities and staff including managers, supervisors, coordinators, clerks, spotters and drivers
• Interact with customers for reviews and continuous improvement
• Develop and manage project strategy by shaping requirements and resources
• Plan long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts and historical data
• Oversee equipment and personnel utilization for cost-efficiency
• Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and asset management
• Ensure all customer pick-up/delivery requirements meet standards
• Audit internal/external SOPs and billing activity
• Drive revenue growth with dedicated and non-dedicated customers
• Mentor staff and lead performance management
• Provide feedback and coaching to enhance skills
• Coordinate with HR on employee relations and development
