Qualifications

• 5–7 years of transportation management with DOT compliance experience.
• Experience leading salary and hourly staff in a large operation.
• Proven ability to drive performance via coaching and metrics.
• Knowledge of private fleet operations and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L and control outbound expenses while improving revenue through efficient inbound lanes.
• Partner with inbound transport to align capacity and freight costs.
• Lead the full transport team to peak performance with safe, clear processes.
• Make staffing, retention and performance decisions for the team.
• Manage private fleet activities and ensure a safe workplace compliant with DOT.
• Collaborate with DOT safety groups to follow company policies and programs.
• Conduct routine observations/audits for safe, timely work and vehicle checks.
• Maintain Driver Qualification files, logs, and drug/alcohol testing compliance.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience with on-time delivery and issue resolution.
• Serve as transportation SME for cross-functional projects.
