SimonsChustr is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead transportation operations within a high-volume distribution environment in Kentucky. The role partners with the Shipping Manager and Operations Leadership to achieve daily shipping, transportation, and customer service goals.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, trainer, mentor, coach, and data-driven leader who builds high-performing teams and drives process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in transportation, logistics, or distribution leadership.
• Strong knowledge of carrier management and routing.
• Experience with TMS, WMS, and data reporting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop transportation personnel.
• Manage carrier relationships, freight scheduling, routing, load planning, and shipment execution.
• Partner with Shipping Manager and operations to achieve daily goals.
• Monitor reports, transportation dashboards, and performance data.
• Ensure accurate and timely confirmation of orders, shipments, and transport transactions.
• Maintain transportation schedules and ensure pickups, deliveries, and appointments are executed as planned.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and service disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations.
