Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee all aspects of the delivery function in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise drivers and a transportation team, manage routing, budgeting, and DOT compliance, and collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to optimize efficiency.

Requirements include 4–6 years of transportation experience, supervisory background, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred). This on-site role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years transportation experience with active knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Team lead or supervisory experience in a transportation setting.
• Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Transportation Supervisor and staff of drivers; hires, trains and evaluates performance.
• Manages day-to-day delivery operations, payroll, and expense reporting with fleet systems.
• Prepares annual transportation budget and performs cost analyses.
• Collaborates with Warehouse Manager to maximize operation efficiency.
• Schedules deliveries and routing, oversees maintenance and equipment needs.
• Ensures DOT compliance and safety policy adherence.
