Job summary

Einride in Houston, TX is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead daily operations, route planning, and carrier partnerships in a fully remote role based in Houston. The position requires 6+ years of transportation or carrier management experience, strong leadership, and a track record of cost optimization and safety compliance.

You will manage budgets, collaborate with warehouse and service teams, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation or carrier management.
• Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, DOT compliance, and fleet management.
• Active CDL (Class A) preferred
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, including route planning and performance monitoring
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
• Site budget management and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel
• Implement strategies to improve service levels, reduce delays, and increase overall efficiency
• Analyze transportation data and KPIs to support continuous improvement efforts
• Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, customer service, and operations teams

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Manager to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of transportation carrier management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize transportation operations.
