Responsibilities

• Leads a crew of transportation maintenance technicians and equipment operators.
• Responds to emergencies and helps coordinate response with a maintenance section supervisor.
• Assists in the administration of the maintenance section.
• Estimates and gathers materials and equipment necessary to complete assignments.
• Inspects roads while en route to and from job site and reports problems to supervisors.
• Operates light and heavy equipment and trains crew members on the use of equipment.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
