Job summary

Otterbein Sunset Village (OSV) is looking for a part-time Transportation/Maintenance teammate to operate community-owned vehicles and provide safe, timely transport for residents to medical appointments. The role also supports maintenance tasks and resident moves.

Position: Part-Time, 1st shift, 16 hours per week. CDL not required; three years of driving experience and a clean record are expected. Join our partner-in-caring team dedicated to compassionate, quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License; CDL not required.
• Three years driving experience with a good driving record.
• Healthcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates cars, passenger vans, and/or buses to transport residents to medical appointments.
• Inspects and cleans vehicles.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, visitors, and other partners.
• Replenishes fuel in vehicles after use.
• Maintains vehicles and ensures preventative maintenance is up to date.
• Performs routine clean-up in the transportation building.
• Assists with residents moves and building maintenance work orders.

Overview The Transportation/Maintenance is a position that will operate community-owned vehicles to provide authorized transportation for residents, primarily to medical appointments, in a safe, comfortable and timely manner. This position when not doing transports will be assisting the Maintenance Technicians and helping with resident moves. Your expertise will enhance the transportation for our residents by providing the safest, most efficient transport service for our community.

Job Type: Part-Time, 16 hours per week

Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Operates cars, passenger vans, and/or buses to safely transport residents, primarily to medical appointments.
• Inspects and cleans vehicles.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, visitors, and other partners under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
• Replenishes fuel in vehicles after use.
• Maintains vehicles in excellent working condition and ensures preventative maintenance is up to date.
• Performs routine clean-up operations in the transportation building.
• Assists with building maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Assist with residents moves.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Driver’s License. CDL is NOT required.
• Experience: Three years driving experience with a good driving record required. Prior healthcare experience is a plus.
• Skills: Ability to complete pre-trip inspection of vehicle. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with residents and other partners required. Ability to find locations using standard road maps as well as written and verbal directions.
