Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to support residents with daily living activities and mobility. You will work closely with a nurse in charge and fellow Partners to deliver person-centered care across our senior living campuses in Ohio.

The role includes 1st and 2nd shifts, with starting pay of $15.00 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring safety, and coordinating with the care team to meet each resident’s needs.

Qualifications

• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing with care.
• Provide supervision or cueing for transfers and ambulation as needed per resident.
• Communicate and coordinate with residents and team to meet needs.
• Work under nurse supervision and respond to emergencies as directed.
• Experience in dementia or memory care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living in a compassionate manner.
• Support residents with daily needs and mobility as directed by nursing staff.
• Monitor and respond to changes in resident condition and report to supervisor.

Job Type: 1st and 2nd shifts

Pay: Starting from $15.00 (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing in a caring and supportive manner as needed per resident
• Provide supervision, cueing or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfer ambulation as needed per resident
• Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with resident needs and team structure
• Work as a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge
• Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge
• Assist residents with various other daily needs as necessary.
• Experience in a dementia or memory care setting.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certification: No certification required.
