Job summary

TCI Transportation is seeking a Specialty Lines Billing Manager to own end-to-end billing across Brokerage, Leasing & Rentals, In-House Financing, Properties, and Used Truck Sales. Lead billing teams, strengthen revenue accuracy, and standardize workflows across multiple billing models.

You will manage the month-end process, coordinate with Accounting, and drive cross-functional improvements while fostering leadership development and process discipline.

Annual Salary: $75,000–$100,000 + Incentives

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location: Phoenix, AZ or North Richland Hills, TX | Hybrid Remote

This is a hybrid remote position with office time at our Phoenix, AZ or North Richland Hills, TX terminal as needed.

TCI Transportation is looking for an experienced Specialty Lines Billing Manager to own end-to-end billing across Brokerage, Leasing & Rentals, In-House Financing, Properties, and Used Truck Sales. You’ll lead billing team members, strengthen revenue accuracy, and build consistent processes across transactional, recurring, and contract-based billing models.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own End-to-End Billing. Oversee billing execution across all Specialty lines, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

Lead & Develop Your Team. Coach and support billing team members, manage workloads and priorities, oversee ad hoc billing and credits, and establish clear performance accountability.

Protect Revenue Accuracy. Establish and enforce billing controls that align operational activity, system data, and billable events. Ensure proper revenue classification and support accurate revenue recognition.

Get Billing Setups Right. Oversee new account setup and ongoing maintenance of billing structures, frequencies, and system configurations across different business lines.

Own the Month-End Billing Process. Ensure timely billing completion and reconciliation. Partner closely with Accounting to support accurate financial reporting.

Build Better Workflows. Standardize processes while accommodating different billing models. Reduce manual work, improve visibility, and develop system-driven workflows that can support business growth.

Solve Problems Across Departments. Work with Operations, Sales, Accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve billing issues, improve the accuracy of information entering the billing process, and keep teams aligned.

Create Clear Standards & Accountability. Own billing trackers, reporting, and standard operating procedures. Lead improvement initiatives that strengthen consistency, efficiency, and execution.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in billing, revenue operations, or related financial processes, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience supporting multiple business lines or high-volume transactional billing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex billing scenarios and implement practical solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, audit-ready work.
• Ability to manage multiple workflows, competing priorities, and tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes across leadership, Accounting, Sales, and Operations.
• A hands-on leadership approach focused on coaching, developing employees, and improving team performance.
• Professional integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial and customer information.

Transportation Management or ERP Systems: Experience with McLeod, Karmak, or equivalent platforms.
