Responsibilities

• Own Your Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and take ownership when issues need resolution.
• Grow Your Accounts: Expand relationships by increasing freight volume and identifying strategic opportunities.
• Deliver Proactive Service: Provide updates before customers ask, anticipate challenges, and suggest cost‑effective options.
• Coordinate Pricing & Win Opportunities: Work with Pricing, brokers, and leadership to deliver competitive quotes and timely bids.
• Keep Shipments & Billing Accurate: Build shipments, complete order entry, and ensure accurate rates for billing.
• Keep Account Information Organized: Maintain contacts and activity in CRM; update tracking procedures.
• Protect Account Continuity: Collaborate with Credit and Accounting to address delays and prevent interruptions.
• Stay Connected. Stay Ahead.: Respond to emails and quotes within 30 minutes; maintain weekly contact and phone calls with customers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Location: North Richland Hills, TX | Onsite

This is an onsite position—not a remote opportunity.

TCI Transportation is looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Brokerage Account Manager to manage assigned customer accounts, solve shipping challenges, and turn dependable service into lasting business growth. You’ll take ownership of customer relationships, identify opportunities to expand transportation services, and maximize revenue and profitability across your accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own Your Customer Relationships
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Understand customer expectations, communicate consistently, and take ownership when issues need resolution.

Grow Your Accounts
Expand existing relationships by increasing contractual freight volume, identifying strategic spot opportunities, and recommending solutions that meet customer shipping needs.

Deliver Proactive Service
Provide updates before customers have to ask, anticipate challenges, and recommend improvements or more cost-effective shipping options.

Coordinate Pricing & Win Opportunities
Work with Pricing, brokers, and leadership to deliver competitive quotes. Own the timely submission of customer proposals and bids, including requests for proposals and quotations.

Keep Shipments & Billing Accurate
Build shipments, complete manual and electronic order entry, and ensure shipment rates are accurate for billing.

Keep Account Information Organized
Maintain accurate customer contacts and activity in the CRM. Create and update account-specific tracking and scheduling procedures so teammates have the information they need.

Protect Account Continuity
Partner with Credit and Accounting to address payment delays, resolve account issues, and help prevent avoidable interruptions to customer freight.

Responsiveness is a key part of this role. You’ll be expected to:

Respond to customer emails within 30 minutes.

Provide quotes through customer transportation management systems within 30 minutes.

Follow up on quotes after 30 minutes when the customer hasn’t responded.

Maintain weekly contact with assigned customers and speak with customers by phone at least five times per week.

We’re looking for someone who picks up the phone, follows through, and keeps customers informed—not someone who waits for problems to escalte.

What You Bring

Required: A minimum of 2 years of transportation experience brokering freight.

You also bring:

Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and basic math skills.

Confident decision-making and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

A self-driven work ethic and willingness to take ownership.

Sound business ethics and respect for confidential information.

A collaborative approach and the flexibility to learn.

Preferred: Inside sales or account management experience within transportation, along with proficiency in McLeod, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. A college degree is a plus—not a requirement.
