Job summary

Armada is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator - Transportation (Monday-Friday) on a Hybrid basis in Wexford, PA. You will manage inbound/outbound transportation, tender shipments, and optimize carrier capacity using MercuryGate and other systems.

The role requires 1–5 years in customer service or transportation operations, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain. Strong Excel/Outlook skills and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• General understanding of business and transportation terms and concepts.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel; Access, TMS applications preferred.
• Analytical and problem solving ability.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with internal/external clients.

Responsibilities

• Assign and tender shipments to Armada’s preferred carriers using TMS to optimize service, capacity and cost.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pick up using the TMS; follow up to secure service results.
• Utilize 24TRACC Loads at Risk to identify loads running late.
• Coordinate first response activity to resolve pickup and in-transit issues; escalate as needed.
• Assist carriers in resolving issues regarding loading and pickup appointments; communicate as necessary.
• Coordinate carrier or supplier date change requests.
• Support shipping/receiving locations with carrier issues, trailer pool coordination and rush shipment arrangements.
• Enter orders into the TMS when applicable.
• Manage Pending Orders for assigned region and handle carrier rate reviews.
• Analyze existing shipping processes for improvements and develop supplier relationships.
• Analyze carrier routing guide and capacity utilization to maximize savings and service levels.
• Manage Transportation Planning Tool to consolidate LTL shipments into truckloads.
• Coordinate return disposition of refused/returned goods.
• Maintain communications with shipping locations and carriers via phone and email.
