Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg, SC invites applications for a Transportation Management International Intern for Spring 2027. You will contribute to the supply chain gatekeeping by supporting transportation projects, data processing, and analytics tools on a full-time, on-site basis during the March–September term.

The role emphasizes collaboration with SCM leads, data-driven problem solving, and hands-on experience with SAP and Power BI to improve KPI dashboards and sustainability

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a university outside the United States.
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 on US grading scale.
• Must have completed a BMW internship of at least 3 months.
• Able to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• Must pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP basics and data analytics tools.
• Willingness to learn German language skills during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support department in Transportation Projects (Operational, Contract Management, Returnable Container Steering, Reporting Sea- and Air freight).
• Troubleshoot upstream process partner errors that impact department performance.
• Conduct data processing in SAP, SQL, Power BI and run weekly/daily reports.
• Assist JIT/JIS and SCM Project Leads.
• Facilitate weekly Transportation team meetings.
• Ensure training documents and department website are up to date.
• Develop KPI dashboards, data analytics, and visualization; support sustainability projects.
• Utilize Power BI for ongoing data visualization and insights.
