Job summary

The role focuses on representing a large international logistics provider in transportation matters, with a hybrid working arrangement and potential Nevada remote work depending on level and business needs.

The candidate will manage litigation matters, conduct research on transportation regulations, draft legal documents, and negotiate settlements

Qualifications

JD from an ABA accredited law school.
Admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
3–8 years of general casualty litigation experience.
Transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience preferred.
Experience with emerging e‑commerce / gig economy legal issues preferred, but not required.
Deposition and motion practice experience required.
Trial experience preferred.
Superior analytical skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Sophisticated technical skills necessary.

Responsibilities

Proactively manage a litigation caseload under supervision of senior attorneys from start to finish.
Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and standards.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memos, and other legal documents.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients with strong advocacy skills.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to support a cohesive team.
Draft case analysis reports to clients with proactive resolution strategies.
