Wilson Elser in Las Vegas is seeking a Transportation Litigation Associate to join our national firm’s busy practice. The ideal candidate will handle complex matters in transportation and logistics, with strong litigation and regulatory background, including deposition and motion practice.

You will work with seasoned attorneys across offices, draft pleadings and briefs, attend hearings and negotiate settlements, and contribute to developing proactive strategies for clients in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in New Jersey.
• 3–8 years of general casualty litigation experience.
• Transportation and logistics, trucking regulations experience preferred.
• Experience with e-commerce / gig economy legal issues preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience required.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Sophisticated technical skills

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Perform legal research related to transportation laws, regulations, and standards.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and departments.
• Draft case analysis reports for clients to support proactive resolution strategies.
