Develop environmentally sensitive landscape architectural designs, support landscape development of projects, and coordinate with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at each level follow standard practices with varying degrees of independence and leadership responsibilities.
Transportation Landscape Architect I: Support landscape design and project establishment following standard practices. No supervisory responsibilities.
Transportation Landscape Architect II: Lead landscape design projects, serve as a lead worker, and establish work priorities.
Transportation Landscape Architect III: Lead complex projects, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, serve as a lead worker, and train others.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
Experience: Varies by level, from none for Level I to 5 years for Level III.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license, registered Landscape Architect in Texas, Safety Impact Certificate.
Includes landscape and vegetation management, laws and regulations, public relations, project design, and planning.
Environmental conditions, outdoor work, and physical stamina required.
Drug testing, compliance with safety regulations, and other standard employment conditions.
Role involves developing landscaping projects, ADA coordination, and reviewing projects for aesthetic, environmental, and functional goals across Texas districts.
