The role involves sieve testing, curing management, and data logging in AASHTOWare, with opportunities to support engineering audits and quality assurance in a fast-paced lab environment.

Competenze

• Certification/Pre-Certification required by WV Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
• Travel may be required; valid driver’s license is required.

Mansioni

• Execute mechanical and washed sieve testing, sample preparation, and physical property checks.
• Manage cylinder curing process and perform hydraulic compression breaks; document fracture patterns and report 7- and 28-day strengths.
• Operate ignition furnaces to test asphalt binder content and compute PWL statistics for pay factors.
• Log certified test data into AASHTOWare, perform routine maintenance and calibration on precision lab equipment, and support IA audits.
