Job summary

Southern West Virginia Asphalt, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to sample asphalt products and ensure they meet required tests. You will coordinate daily/weekly sampling with management, plant personnel and inspectors to obtain samples and mix designs, and monitor production procedures.

The position requires self-motivation, adherence to safety standards (OSHA), accurate documentation, and flexibility for schedule and travel.

Qualifications

• Coordinates daily/weekly sampling with management, plant personnel and inspectors.
• Clear understanding of asphalt procedures/production.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Ensure safety standards per OSHA guidelines.
• Prepare and submit documentation to Quality Control personnel.
• Ability to evaluate test results and address problems.

Responsibilities

• Sample asphalt product to ensure it meets required tests.
• Maintain courteous and professional conduct with co-workers and customers.
• Adhere to PPE policies and keep PPE in good condition.
• Be flexible with schedule changes and possible travel or overtime.
