Job summary

Mayer LLP in Dallas, Texas seeks an experienced attorney specializing in litigation/insurance defense to join our collaborative firm. You will provide strategic defense, conduct thorough investigations, and represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor, Texas Bar admission, and at least 3 years of defense experience, with strong research and writing capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
• Minimum 3 years of litigation/insurance defense experience.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in transportation-related incidents and defense strategies.
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel to individuals, businesses, and insurers.
• Investigate accidents, analyze evidence, and assess liability.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations.
