Wegman Partners in Dallas, TX is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of commercial litigation and/or 5+ years in insurance defense to join our growing team. This full-time, hybrid role offers meaningful responsibility, mentorship, and opportunities for professional advancement.

The ideal candidate will independently manage a docket, draft pleadings and briefs, handle depositions and hearings, and collaborate with partners to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• At least two years of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial litigation and/or insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket and prioritize deadlines.
• Dallas, Texas; onsite with flexibility for remote work by arrangement.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies with partners and senior attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, discovery requests, and case reports.
• Manage discovery, document production, and case-related deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and trials.
• Maintain client relationships and provide timely case updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate.
