Job summary

HNTB is seeking intern engineers for its Michigan offices to support ITS/Traffic, CEI, Structures, and Highway projects. You will assist our engineering teams with research, development, and the preparation of drawings and documents.

This role requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and a basic grasp of math concepts. This internship does not include relocation or housing; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post‑secondary engineering program.
• Fundamental engineering concepts in mathematics and geometry are expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to follow directions from team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with tasks and duties.
• Support research, development and design of projects.
• Help prepare engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as required.
