Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Intern Engineer to assist assigned department(s) and project teams with basic engineering tasks. This role offers exposure to bridge, geotechnical, transportation planning, roadway, water resources, municipal and inspection areas across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program and possess fundamental math and engineering knowledge, with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with shop drawing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometry and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to follow directions from peers and supervisors.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings/documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with tasks and duties.
• Support research, development and design of projects.
• Help prepare engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
