Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Hydraulics Engineer to join our team in Florida. You will work under a Project Manager and Senior Hydraulic Engineers on urban and rural highway projects, stormwater plans, and floodplain evaluations.

The role involves design through construction, potential project management duties, and collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality drainage and water resources solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental, water resources or related fields.
Master's degree in water resources preferred.
Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.

Responsibilities

Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager and Senior Hydraulic Engineers on urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
Prepare detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects from small improvements to large programs.
Participate in drainage feasibility analyses to final design and construction phases.
Assume project management duties and interact with clients.
Assist with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
Prepare and review hydraulic calculations, floodplain evaluations, stormwater modelling, and related analyses.
