Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its fast-paced finance team. This role focuses on transportation FP&A, forecasting, and margin analysis to support profitable growth.

You will partner with the Transportation and FP&A teams to enhance ship margin analysis, develop forecasts, and prepare investor and board materials. The role reports to the FP&A Manager and requires strong modeling, communication, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation preferred.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related field.
• Hybrid schedule in Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance related to Transportation and provide timely outlooks on ship costs and margins.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of models and processes for new transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with Transportation to build plans and targets and convert to budget.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly investor/board presentations highlighting key metrics and variance to budget.
