Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team supporting transportation initiatives.

You will forecast, analyze variances, and prepare board-friendly financial materials to enable profitable growth and strategic decision-making. You will partner with the Transportation and FP&A teams to enhance ship margin analysis, forecasting, and reporting, while driving continuous improvements and automation across models and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation required.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related field.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI and Power Query preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete analysis on transportation initiatives monthly and communicate KPIs and variances to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report on weekly performance related to Transportation.
• Manage relationships to build bottoms-up forecasts and identify risks/opportunities.
• Support development of models for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with the Transportation team and convert to the budget.
• Create monthly/quarterly investor and board presentations highlighting metrics and variances.
• Develop margin analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Improve models and processes; automate and optimize existing files.
• Work with management to drive strategic improvements and cost optimization.
• Network with stakeholders to align on objectives and actions.
