Transportation Financial Specialist 1 will report to the Federal Aid section of the Finance Division. This position requires complex critical thinking and highly specialized accounting. Position performs accounting support duties under general supervision. Responsibilities include reconciling federal projects to ensure all expenditures are captured accurately, verifying reimbursements, understanding of excel pivot tables, journal voucher corrections in WVOASIS. Performs related work as required.
Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.
No experience required.
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Transportation Financial Associate.
