West Virginia is hiring a Transportation Specialist 2 in the Accounts Payable section of the Finance Division. The role will review and approve level two WVOASIS documents, train staff, and coordinate with personnel to resolve payment issues.
The position may involve auditing contract payments and other related duties as required. Typically the candidate will handle complex reconciliations, prepare reports, and supervise subordinate staff.

The Transportation Specialist 2 will report to the Accounts Payable section of the Finance Division. The position is performed under limited supervision. This position will review and approve level two of WVOASIS documents, train central and state-wide employees, coordinate with appropriate personnel to correct rejected documents and resolve issues preventing payment. Will assist with auditing and processing Request-Commodity Based (PRDC) contract payments, and other related duties as required.
Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience.
Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience through an established formula.
