Qualifications

• Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related curriculum with two years of progressive technician experience, or equivalent.
• Active driver's license.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• NCDOT certifications including Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician, and Conventional Density Testing preferred.
• 4+ years of construction inspection experience on transportation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Perform routine material testing.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Gather and maintain record documents including certifications and testing reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
