Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a Transportation Engineer Specialist – Section Manager to lead the Planning Division’s Local Program Services. You will oversee CDS/FLAP, TA, RTP, and Agreements/Expenditures, guiding high-level engineering decisions and supervising engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of West Virginia or eligible by comity within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial, petroleum, mining, environmental, engineering technology, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Training/education degree must be verified before employment; attach transcript or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Local Program Services Section Leader role and supervise CDS/FLAP, TA, RTP, and Agreements/Expenditures units.
• Provide high-level section and regional management within WVDOH, directing staff across technical and administrative functions.
