Job summary

Ardurra seeks a Transportation Engineering Intern in Phoenix, AZ for the summer of 2027. You will support a range of municipal and public agency projects, gaining exposure to real-world civil engineering work and building technical skills.

Responsibilities include design, modeling, reporting, and field data collection. You will use Bentley/Autodesk tools and MS Office, while learning from a collaborative team in a professional office environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway, drainage, signing and pavement markings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design and modeling, and perform quantity take-offs.
• Support field investigations, data collection, and site inspections.
• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting activities.
• Support permitting, regulatory documentation, and project scheduling.
• Review drawings for accuracy and standards adherence.
• Utilize engineering software and MS Office to support tasks.
