Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and GIS preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work both with a team and independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure including roadway, drainage, signing and pavement markings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design and modeling, engineering calculations, and material quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field investigations, tests, measurements and site inspections; collect and process field data.
• Contact vendors to obtain budgetary quotes and assist in developing construction cost estimates.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance documentation, and project scheduling efforts.
• Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Utilize engineering software tools and design programs to support tasks.
• Assume additional responsibilities to support team goals.
