Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Tucson, AZ office for the summer of 2027. You will support a range of transportation projects under close supervision, gaining exposure to practical civil engineering tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting in design and analysis of roadways and drainage, preparing drawings and reports, conducting field data collection, and using Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway, drainage, signing and pavement markings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, memoranda, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design and modeling, calculations, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field investigations, data collection, and site inspections.
• Support budgeting, cost estimates, and scheduling efforts.
• Review drawings for accuracy and conformance to standards.
