Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Summer 2027 Transportation Intern in Vermont to support multi-modal planning and design efforts. You’ll collaborate with a project team to learn the project development process for transportation projects of varying scales.

The role emphasizes learning from professionals across Civil/Environmental disciplines, with opportunities for field visits and hands-on participation in plan development and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Must be a college student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in similar work is a plus.
• Willingness to perform field visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams by preparing studies, memos, reports, spreadsheets, graphs, drawings, and calculations.
• Learn to develop plans, quantity take-off, and cost estimating as part of a design team.
• Support field data gathering and site visits when required.
• Perform other duties to support the team.
