Job summary

Stantec in Portland, Maine invites a Civil Engineering student for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work with experienced practitioners and clients, gaining hands-on experience on transportation projects.

Responsibilities include supporting study preparations, fieldwork, and project coordination; learn project development processes and participate in Stantec's internship program. Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering; strong organization and communication are essential;

Qualifications

• Must be a college student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with initiative.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with studies, memos, reports, spreadsheets, and drawings.
• Support project managers to understand project management processes.
• Involve some fieldwork and data gathering for transportation projects.
• Contribute to broader internship program activities and workshops.
• Take part in team meetings and learn the project development process.
