Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil or Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Transportation team in Raleigh. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience across data analysis, PS&E design, and environmental and schematic design.

During this internship or Co-Op you will support data gathering, perform routine engineering calculations under supervision, and contribute to reports and drawings with guidance from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Researching, compiling and examining transportation data.
• Supporting Transportation Engineering studies with a focus on roadway PS&E design, environmental and schematic design, and CAD (computer aided design and drafting).
• Performing routine engineering calculations and analyses under supervision, proofreading and copying technical and non-technical reports as well as specifications and assisting staff with a variety of projects and/or field assignments.
