WSP USA is seeking a Part-Time Intern for our Albuquerque, NM office to gain hands-on experience in Civil/Transportation engineering during Fall 2026. The internship targets students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs and emphasizes mentorship, project exposure, and professional networking.

The role involves supporting various engineering tasks, learning transportation principles, and assisting with design calculations and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program with anticipated May 2027 or later graduation.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.
  • Demonstrated interest in Transportation or related field.
  • Ability to take direction and communicate with engineers and non-engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Learn basic principles of Transportation Engineering.
  • Assist with project research, fieldwork, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.
