Job summary

WSP USA in Newark, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience with our Civil Team. You will work alongside senior staff and support a range of tasks during the Spring 2027 semester.

The internship is designed for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with interest in Civil Engineering and transportation. No relocation or housing assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related program with an anticipated graduation date May 2026 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and have strong interest in Civil Engineering and Transportation.
• Clear ability to communicate ideas professionally to engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions and cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation and assist senior staff as needed.
