Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. in the United States is seeking a Transportation/Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027.

You will contribute to highway/roadway design and other transportation projects under the guidance of professional engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience with large-scale infrastructure. You'll assist with basic highway design calculations, technical reports, and CAD drawings (AutoCAD Civil 3D), while learning local, state, and federal design standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Civil or Transportation Engineering degree program.
• Knowledge of CAD/Design software, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Previous transportation coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic highway/roadway geometric design calculations.
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Utilize CAD to prepare engineering drawings and models.
• Familiarize with local, state, and federal design standards and requirements.
