Baxter & Woodman Inc invites applications for a Transportation Intern in our Peoria Heights, IL offices. The role supports our transportation department with planning and design of a variety of facilities, offering hands-on experience within a transportation design team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year Civil Engineering degree with a transportation emphasis, available to start May 2027, and willing to travel within the service area. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Competenze

• Pursuing a 4-year Civil Engineering degree with emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
• Available to start May 2027.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area (own transportation).
• Team-oriented, with strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Mansioni

• CAD work and drawings for transportation projects.
• Perform quantity computations for plans and proposals.
• Conduct traffic analysis supporting design decisions.
• Collect data and perform field surveys as needed.
• Assist in construction inspection activities and site observations.
