Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a 10-12 week Summer 2027 internship. You will work with experienced engineers on design, field inspections, report writing, permits, and site drainage, gaining hands-on experience in transportation engineering.

You will assist with project design, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support meeting budgets and client expectations while learning the discipline.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering; coursework in design and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and support design and field tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of transportation projects, including highways, bridges, transit systems, and multimodal networks, according to code and IMEG standards.
• Support engineering analysis, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design while learning the trade.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
