Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Planning, Environment Studies, Architecture, or Arts, or equivalent
  • Required Experience: None required
  • Ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal form; proficient with MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research on planning issues, including demographic trends, land use patterns, and environmental impacts
  • Help prepare maps, reports, and planning documents using GIS software and other tools
  • Participate in public meetings and workshops to gather community input and provide information on planning initiatives
  • Assist in reviewing zoning applications and community plans to ensure compliance with local regulations and ordinances
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and assess compliance with planning regulations
  • Work with public officials, developers, and community members to support planning projects
  • Help prepare reports and presentations to communicate planning proposals and findings to stakeholders
  • Provide support to senior planners in managing planning projects and initiatives
