Open to undergrad/grad students with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later, the program runs May 24, 2027, with flexibility on start date.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Transportation Engineering and strong desire to contribute to projects.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership and mentors to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transportation Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Perform basic CAD tasks for conceptual transportation projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads and/or MicroStation.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Note: There is no relocation or housing assistance for this internship.
