Job summary

WSP USA invites Civil Engineering students to join a 12‑week Transportation Internship in our Las Vegas, NV office. You'll support the Civil Team on real projects, perform basic design tasks in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MicroStation, and assist with field work and cost estimates.

Anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later; start May 24, 2027; no relocation or housing assistance. Open to undergrad and graduate students, 18+, with strong communication skills and interest in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering program with an anticipated Aug 2027 graduation or later.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in transportation engineering and willingness to learn.
• Good interpersonal and professional communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to follow guidance from mentors and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical and professional skills.
• Learn basic transportation engineering principles and CAD workflows.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Perform basic design tasks using AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, and MicroStation.
• Help prepare design plans, provisions, and cost estimates; maintain project documentation.
• Complete training and assist in other duties as needed.
