Job summary

Candidates must hold WV P.E. licensure or become eligible by comity within 6 months and possess an ABET-accredited civil engineering

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of West Virginia or eligible by comity within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial, petroleum, mining, environmental, or related engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Degree transcript or diploma must be attached to the application.

Responsibilities

• Manage the LPA unit to ensure funding and project deliveries.
• Assist in the delivery of non-traditional highway projects such as sidewalks and trails.
• Develop Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&Es) and review design plans with SHD divisions, districts and consultants.
• Assist with project scoping, plan reviews, and delivering project information for construction advertisement.
• Conduct necessary site visits during construction and develop plans for the projects described above.
