GRAEF in Madison, WI is seeking a Transportation Engineer/Project Manager with proven leadership to guide projects and staff in the Transportation discipline.

The role emphasizes project oversight, business development, client relations, and mentoring, with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to advance within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical design experience in transportation engineering.
• Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards.
• PE license in WI required; PE in MN & IL a plus.
• Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
• Project management experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
• Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
• Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.

Transportation Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities May Include

We are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
• Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards.
• PE license in WI required; PE in MN & IL a plus.
• Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
• Project Management experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
• Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members are necessary.
• Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation and Open Roads Designer is an advantage.
