Job summary

GHD is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer for the Central Region to join a dynamic team of experts. You will lead or support traffic analyses, signal design, and multimodal studies from concept to delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in transportation engineering, a PE license (preferred) and PTOE certification (preferred), with proficiency in HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Collaboration and meeting tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering License desired.
• PTOE certification desired.
• Experience completing Traffic Impact Studies required.
• Familiarity with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic and SIDRA/RODEL software.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil3D; ability to become proficient.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conducting transportation analyses and traffic impact studies.
• Assisting/leading traffic signal designs and plan development.
• Developing design traffic and existing/future traffic conditions.
• Performing capacity/LOS and corridor feasibility studies.
• Executing operational analyses and traffic simulations.
• Designing and optimizing signal timing.
• Applying access management to improve corridor operations.
• Preparing technical reports and project documents.
• Support business development and client relations.
