Job summary

H&H is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join its Transportation, Mobility, and Parking practice in New York. The engineer will play a significant role in planning and delivering multimodal projects while enhancing the Transportation Group.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, over 5 years of relevant experience, and PE certification. Knowledge of traffic simulation tools and a collaborative approach are essential. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience.
• PE certification required; PTOE/PTP a plus.
• Knowledge of MUTCD standards and traffic operations in NY Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational and capacity analyses and traffic simulations.
• Conduct travel demand modeling and forecasting activities.
• Lead analysis and design of traffic-related facilities.

Operational and capacity analyses

Traffic simulations (Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, SIDRA)

Travel demand modeling

Traffic calming and multimodal mobility

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
