Job summary

Farnsworth Group seeks a Transportation Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will work with a team of experienced professionals on a variety of transportation projects, from concept to field observation.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with a transportation concentration preferred, and have Word/Excel proficiency. AutoCAD and MicroStation experience are a plus; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, with a concentration in Transportation or Traffic preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
• MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside design professionals to identify and solve traffic and transportation problems.
• Prepare design plans and specifications to document solutions to these problems
• Work in the field to see solutions implemented in construction
